      (A) Environment, Health and Safety- Responsible to develop , implement and continuously improve EHS policies, management system and culture in the plant and ensure compliance with Corporate, local/international regulations and EHS Policy and Management System.- Responsible to lead management personnel in the investigations of plant incidents and complaints regarding unsafe working conditions and practices within the plant in order to identify immediate and root causes.- Responsible to periodically assess the section’s compliance status with the various programs and report to department head.- Responsible to oversee the maintenance system of all EHS required records/ documents as specified by regulatory boards and standards.- Responsible to anticipate, prevent and mitigate EHS risks and impacts to protect people, the environment and the business.- Responsible to develop and maintain effective programs for hazardous materials management, chemical handling, wet disposal, biological safety, radiation safety, confined space entry, fire prevention and other environmental health and safety.(B) Facilities Management- Responsible to develop, implement and continuously improve facilities policies and management systems.- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all facilities and utilities systems such as electrical, pure water, waste water, compress air, scrubber, HVAC and cleanroom systems.- Responsible to manage the performance of outsourced service providers ensuring quality service delivery.- Proposal of capital investment plans for system upgrades, expansions and energy efficiency.- Reviews start-up, shutdown, emergency and other operating procedures and standing orders for all units in the department and update them according to the best practices and the operational experiences.- Plan, execute and new projects in line with production investments and provide technical and engineering support to other departments. Energy and Water Conservation - Appointed Energy Manager of the plant. - Certified Water Efficiency Manager - Plan and organize energy consumption improvement initiatives and projects to enhance safety, operability and efficiency of plant utility systems and facilities. - Update and submission of annual energy consumption and improvement plan to NEA in accordance to Energy Conservation Act. - Performance duty as a certified Energy Manager to conduct energy audit, management, measurements and prepare reports.2.) Operations Rationalization • Responsible to improve operations rationalization through reduction of manhour, transport waste, layout improvement for WIP, ergonomics and method analysis. • Responsible to streamline activities/ manpower and set work flow in order to ensure smooth and safe operations to achieve targets in terms of production, HSE and related areas. • Responsible to study and implement measures to prevent mis-­operation and rejection avoidance.3.) Major maintenance improvements • Liases with the concerned staff in Maintenance Department for detailed troubleshooting and elimination of recurring problems. • Responsible to study and analyze equipment performance and suggest improvements to increase equipment reliability with supporting departments to resolve the issue. • Reviews start-­‐‑up, shutdown, emergency and other operating procedures and standing instructions for all units in the department and update them according to the best practices and the operational experiences. • Implement value engineering study in machine renewal to reduce the downtime and maintenance cost.4.) New projects • Responsible to coordinate with relevant engineering disciplines/ suppliers to draft and design layout of equipment, materials and workspace to maximize efficiency, safety and equipment reliability. Will need to regulate overtime according to demand to control cost.• Responsible for Continuously Training subordinates with new skills to achieve better efficiency and improved productivity.• Responsible for the implementation of OEE methodology/ framework to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of a process, by breaking it down into three constituent components of availability, performance and quality.• Responsible of the proposal of necessary investments based on the production and quality requirement in line with the product forecast as projected by sales department.• Execute and supervise introduction of new and existing product changeover according to procedure.• Responsible for the handling of grievances and disciplinary cases.
