      Web Developer

As part of IT team, I was in charge of developing company’s websites, using front-end technologies as HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (jQuery included) and PHP as a back-end language. One of the most important projects I was involved in was developing a large web site which allowed different creativities using a skeleton made over PHP. There were several leads providers, and I have to identify the source of those leads and display a different creativity depending on the source. From htaccess file, I loaded some specific variables, depending on the lead provider, and using PHP functions the content was loaded.Another important project was the development of an ISP products comparator. A front-end app which was developed using an AJAX over JavaScript and jQuery, users could choose their current ISP provider (home and mobile) and we displayed the best offer for them. According to back-end technologies, I had to develop a WordPress Theme for a financial company named Vivenia. It was a web site about financial information which displayed bank products as credit cards, pension schemes…. I had to develop a tracking system to know how many leads the web site was providing to the associated banks. This project never was released due to the company fails. This web site has many financial tools as mortgage calculator, bank deposit interest rates… made using JavaScript and PHP. Show less

      Web Developer

As Web Developer in the IT Department I was on the head of planning, designing and developing the websites that the company uses to selling their products. I was involved in several projects, all of them with some key points in common like website optimization and cross-browser techniques.According to website optimization, in one hand I had to design and develop taking into account the principles of SEO and SEM (tags, alts, image names, tittle, h1, h2, h3, meta tags, DOM structure and right content) and in the other hand I had to do some technical tasks as image optimization, code compressing, server side setup (cache control, headers… through htaccess file), reduce the number of http requests, specify image dimensions or defer parsing of JavaScript. Most part of this job was done using SEO Quake Tools and Chrome Dev Tools (PageSpeed Insights for Chrome).Concerning cross-browser techniques, I was in charge of testing the websites over several web browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, IE 7, 8, 9, and 10, Opera, Safari) and several OS (Windows, Linux, Android, IOS). After testing, I had to fix the bugs that appeared in every test. Some of the tools used for doing these tasks were Opera Dragonfly, Chrome Mobile Emulation, virtual machines over Virtual Box.About the creative side of my work as web developer, apart from design websites I had to create banners for Google Adwords campaigns and daily deals campaigns using Adobe Photoshop. Most important project during my career in this company was the development of a responsive web site. This web site, apart from taking into account the points described above, should be adaptable to the screen size of every device. From the Mobile First concept I’ve developed the web site using HTML5 and CSS3 Media Queries until get the desktop version. Some parts of the code are displayed depending on the device using a PHP class which detects if the device is a mobile, a tablet or a desktop named php-mobile-detect. Show less
