      Manage two of the flag ships buildings owned by Devon County Council, County Hall and Great Moor House as well as many other buildings owned or leased by Devon County Council which are used for a variety of purposes and by many different occupants and all with varying requirements, care workers offices and large open plan offices of 200 plus staff. These buildings are occupied by both Devon County Council staff and joint venture partners and private sector businesses. I am responsible to ensure that all the premises are properly maintained and fit for purpose, including managing legionella inspections, Portable Appliance Testing and all planned and reactive maintenance for all the buildings. Overall control of the Building Managements Systems, including chiller and plant rooms. Health and safety responsibilities to ensure safe access and egress at all buildings. Managing a small fleet of vehicles for the courier and distribution service delivering and collecting internal mail and light goods service across Devon.       I managed multiple buildings simultaneously and was responsible for ensuring the buildings were fit for purpose and were maintained and inspected. Responsible for FM Managers and Staff ensuring they are fully supported and have the relevant information skills and knowledge to carry out their designated roles. Review training needs and current procedures to ensure they are effective including the building management systems to ensure they are running efficiently and the planned and reactive maintenance of the buildings is being carried out properly and in a timely manner. Ensure all compliance checks are carried out and recorded and any anomalies reported.The sites varied in size from capacity of perhaps 20 people to over a thousand people and from single buildings of one storey to multiple storey buildings and to a whole campus. Car park and access management and consultation work on various current projects. Health and Safety related works including the management of visitors and contractors. Scrutiny and review of contractors related procedures, risk assessments and method statements and site procedure booklets relating to procedures for each individual site. Also responsible for the FM budgets for each site,reviewing current budgets and forecasts. Carry out presentations and inductions to large groups clients staff, Fire Awareness ,Fire Searcher training and Emergency Evacuation Procedures as well as staff training on specific subjects relating to their duties and environment. Created an employee instruction manual for one large site and ensured tool box talks were conducted regularly, carried out appraisals for managers. Managing the provision of complete Facilities Management services for designated properties in Exeter, Teignbridge and the South Hams,North Devon and Weston-Super-Mare.
