      As Photo Editor, I managed the group of photographers on staff and assigned weekly photo assignments. Along with assigning photos I also went out and took photos for stories from concerts to debates. I also worked with my photographers along with the writers and designers, to put together the best photos for each story every week. Putting photos in both the print version and online version of the paper was also a large part of my job. Photoshop and Lightroom were my two main instruments in the photo editing process. Show less

      I manage the print editions of The Marquette Tribune. It comes out every Tuesday and Thursday on Marquette University's campus so every Monday and Wednesday night are our production times and that is when my job really happens. I help layout the paper and place ads on each page so our page designers can add the reporters stories and the photographers photos. I also help manage the entire staff from a human resource perspective.
