  Responsibilities:Beach profiling measurements taken along the Lagos State bar – beach for a 3 month period and compilation of data in order to monitor the level of erosion occurring along the coastal region of the area; construction of beach profiles and digital representation using Microsoft tools followed by weekly presentation of data analysis results on the effects of severe erosion taking place along the Lagos State bar – beach; group discussions and library research work on the coastal region of Southwestern Nigeria; daily monitoring and assessment of the Lagos State Lagoon and coastal waters with emphasis placed on detecting level of contaminants present and their effects on marine life forms; quantitative and qualitative measurements of water samples obtained from Lagos State Lagoon and coastal waters in the laboratory with proper documentation of all procedures highlighting the rate of contamination from sewage, low and hi-tides involvement, and presence of heavy metals.
