  I interned with Turner the summer I graduated high school. I was fortunate enough to work on the Nexus Park project, which took place in my home town. Here I got my first look at commercial construction. I learned new skills on the job through shadowing my project engineer and superintendent. Trade coordination and facilitating of safety documentation were my main roles. I also developed skills in quality control as well as pre construction processes. Some of the pre-con work I took part in exposed me to creating and processing RFI’s and submittals, but also the takeoff and setup of a bid package. With Turner I was also able to test new BIM 360 technology, to capture images of our project that we used for quality control and progress checks. Show less

  Project Engineer Intern

  Working with BMWC allowed me to build upon my knowledge of the construction industry from the perspective of a project engineer intern. During my time with BMWC, I had the unique opportunity to work on-site at the Lily Technology South campus on a variety of projects. Throughout my internship I learned about the mechanical construction industry and developed new skills through hands on experience that will aid me as I continue my journey towards a career within the construction industry.
