      Engineering Assistant

Design and redesign of manned aerial lifts. Prototype part design and fabrication. Management of parts drawings files. Modify or create new bills of materials for production. Individual part, full assembly, hydraulic, and electrical design. Building and testing of prototype parts and assemblies in shop. Handled service call from customer and help them when they had problems. * I helped design, fabricate, and build a completely new lift. I saw it go form concept to production I even did the testing on it, from stain weight testing to just seeing different ways I could make it fail.* All my design work was done in AutoCAD here also. Staring with R12 and working up through 2000. I gained tremendous experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic design.* Redrew over 500 hand drawn part drawings in AutoCAD.Redesign and modification of various parts and assembly drawings. Traffic Analyst

Responsible for the design and redesign of new or existing traffic signals. Street markings and street sign placement designs. Generated new coordination timings for traffic signal systems. Management of traffic signal database, as well as street sign database in ARCGis. Design of traffic signal cabinet enclosure, mechanical and electrical. Provide the citizen of the city of Waco with excellent service by, taking problems and quickly turning them into solutions. * Last year I, along with the consultant Kimley-Horn, retimed and rephrased 14 total intersections, along 4 crossing arterial streets. This included on my part some design work, but a majority of it was data collection and programming changes to the traffic signal controllers After approximate 6 months of work we were done, and were able to save the drivers in Waco 1.5 million dollars in gas and lost time by decreasing delay.* Over my ten years of working at the city of Waco, I greatly enhanced my AutoCAD skills. When I started we had AutoCAD 14, by the end we were using AutoCAD Civil 2012 3D. I am currently looking to schedule my test with Autodesk for my AutoCAD Expert certification.* 10 New traffic signal designs30 Existing traffic signal redesignsAdded over 2000 signs to ARCGis databaseProgrammed 200 plus traffic signal controllers and 900 MHz radios Show less
