      At White Oak Farm and Education Center, I had an invaluable opportunity to engage in a sustainable, communal work environment while acquiring the necessary skills to grow healthy food accessible to the surrounding community. -Participated in all stages of organic crop cultivation, including soil preparation, propagation, harvest, and sold our produce at market.-Instructed preschool with an emphasis on experiential education-Acquired homesteading skills, including food preservation.

      The Pre-Collegiate Program of Yangon is a need-blind college preparation school with the mission of creating change in Myanmar. We provide students with the resources and support necessary to secure scholarships and acceptance to colleges and universities in the United States, Europe, and Asia while developing leadership capacitiy, writing, critical thinking, and civic engagement skills. As the Director of Academics, I facilitate all aspects of the program's academic curriculum and college counseling and placement programs. -Develop core curriculum and lead faculty and students in a rigorous 16 month liberal arts program-Direct students and faculty through all aspects of the college admissions process, including placement, preparation, and care.-Teach gender studies, college counseling, personal development, and academic development courses-Oversee and manage annual budget-Work together with the Pre-Collegiate Program of Yangon and Board of Trustees and Myanmar -Foundation for Analytic Education (MFAE) in the United States to raise program funding and advocate for PCP students-Recruit, hire, supervise and manage the faculty & developing academic staff-Ensure safety of students and staff in the midst of political instability Show less
