Area of responsibility is from Springfield Park, Durban up to and including Margate on the Natal South Coast.Duties and functions consisted of:- Ensure that client relations are maintained and a quality service to the general public is rendered.- Identifying opportunities to improve operations, service methods and supply related procedures.- Assist in the implementation of goals, objectives, policies and procedures for assigned retail outlets to ensure quality service.- Select, train, motivate and evaluate merchandising staff.- Provide and co-ordinate staff training and development.- Work with employees to correct deficiencies with in their scope of work.- Implement disciplinary action and if necessary initiate termination procedures.- Assign tasks and monitor assigned merchandisers to ensure satisfactory completion of tasking.- Reviewing of sales figures for market area on a weekly and monthly basis, depending onspecific principle. Then rectifying problems where necessary by doing weekly planning on how to promote growth and generate sales be it at a staff, store or product supply level.-Report problems or concerns to the relevant persons and resolve any issues as directed.   Initially employed as receptionist and buyer, responsible for all administration procedures as well as buying of materials as per each specific job requirement, office supplies and workshop consumables with the intention of gaining an overall understanding of the day to day operations of the business. September 2010 brought about additional responsibility whereby I was placed as head of customer relations and duties, over and above administrative operations, entail quality control, external sales and over all customer satisfaction.Liaising with high profile customers in the industry included various Sugar mills under both, Tongaat and Huletts Groups, as well as international giants, BMG Group and Bearings International.
