  St Augustine's College provided my cohort and I the opportunity to take up 20 hours of volunteer work experience through an educational initiative as part of my Year 10 curriculum. I, as well as a small group of my peers spent this time assisting at the Flintwood Disability Centre in Brookvale assisting staff with daily activities and bonding with those unfortunate enough to be apart of this disadvantaged but strong community. This was a bitter-sweet opportunity that gave us a new-found admiration for those who care for individuals in unfortunate life circumstances on a day-to-day basis. Show less

  As my first prominent step into the workforce my time at Coles was invaluable. During my time in the Coles family I was fortunate enough to be involved with an array of departments including Dairy, Grocery, Fresh Produce and the Deli over the years. I was also provided with great hands-on exposure to numerous facets of Business that allowed me to gain an appreciation for the bigger picture where by my efforts were always contributing to a greater vision.By juggling extensive part-time hours with full-time study I gained an acumen for organisation and time management as I realised early on that this was the key to exceeding expectations and getting the most out of my life and career goals.   With a keen eye for all things automotive and looking to grow my communication, organisation and administrative skills I was excited to have the opportunity to perform in a new capacity as part of a small team. Duties included, at first, fairy standard administrative tasks ranging from liaising with customers and suppliers, arranging and following up appointments and general house-keeping matters whilst also handling quoting and invoicing through the use of MYOB. During my time at Car Interior Plus I also set in motion numerous other activities including starting the Brand's social media presence on platforms including Facebook and Instagram as well working closely with the Director to pioneer new streams of work and process improvements such as customer experience handling and recurring administrative procedures.
