  Quality Assurance Engineer II

  My daily activities and job responsibilities revolve around ensuring the quality and reliability of the software being developed. Here's a brief description of my daily tasks and responsibilities:I start my day by reviewing Jira Board or requirements for the upcoming sprint. This involves collaborating with the Scrum Master and development team to clarify any ambiguities and ensure that the requirements are clear and testable and creation of tickets over Jira for the pending tasks.Test Planning: I create and update test plans and test cases based on the requirements. This includes identifying test scenarios, outlining test objectives, and defining entry and exit criteria for testing phases.Manual Testing: A significant part of my day is dedicated to manual testing. I execute test cases, document defects, and verify bug fixes. I also perform smoke various form of testing as per the requirement such as smoke, sanity, regression, retesting and exploratory testing to uncover any unexpected issues that may not be covered by test casesTest Automation: In addition to manual testing, I work on test automation. This involves developing and maintaining automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks. Automation helps ensure quick and repetitive testing of critical functionalities.Test Reporting & Documentation : I generate and share test reports that highlight the testing progress, Impact Analysis Report and Release Notes for every release,Collaboration: I actively participate in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings as part of the Agile process. Collaboration and communication with developers and product owners are essential for a successful project.In summary, my role as a QA Engineer involves a mix of manual and automated testing activities, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a commitment to ensuring that the software meets the highest quality standards in alignment with Agile principles.
