The bids were EMEA based and spanned a variety of business sectors including UK Security Services, Ministry of Defence, financial institutions, transport providers (rail & airline), non-UK Government and utilities / energy companies with TCV ranging from £3.5m to £330m. The role would normally entail working with the bid director / capture executive in capturing, understanding and responding to client requirements via a formal RFP process, competitive dialogue or through other client engagements. In a typical bid, Paul would engage and manage SME's from the required service lines as determined by client requirements and bring the disparate solution elements together as an integrated solution.CSC – EMEA Account Operations – Strategy Manager January 2007 – May 2007A secondment on request from account VP to work with Operations Directors to identify areas within the BAE Systems account where innovation and new solutions could be applied to reduce cost as well as improve ROI. Paul managed a group of technical SME and innovation leaders to review and identify candidate programmes across the estate. The projects considered included a complete redesign of backup and archive environment, design and deployment of a solution to reduce rebuild times for server / desktop environments.       Paul was recruited into Agilisys to support business development in the North West and led the technical response on the Bolton and Wigan opportunity. His role as solution manager had overall responsibility for the Solution required for a full outsource (service desk, desktop support, midrange hosting, network, voice and applications). Working with Business Development (BD) director, finance director and SMEs, Paul created the solution response (including all costing activities) and Agilisys were awarded the contract in January 2013 with a TCV of £47m – he then ran the infrastructure transformation activities on the account during the transition phase.Paul has assisted on other opportunities as solution manager including a London Metropolitan Council ICT outsource , Surrey NHS Trust application outsource, several other outsourcing opportunities and more recently, defining Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity strategies and plans as part of contact centre bid responses.Paul has a very strong Infrastructure background and is able to converse at a technical level with SME's and also with senior managers / clients at a business level. His experience across a wide technology field ensures that a quality and cost effective solution is provided as he is able to challenge technical solutions / architecture. His other work activities within Agilisys have included cutover / transition manager for Agresso, re-design of service and delivery model , TCO modelling for infrastructure and supporting the Business Development teams in pre-sales engagements.
