  I purchased this Co-operative buying group with 40 clients. When I sold the business to Foremost Liquors of Chicago we had grown to over 130 accounts. I negotiated pricing with the wholesalers for my accounts, ran weekly advertising in three newspapers in Florida and produced price books for the stores. I also provided store layout and operations consulting for a fee.

  This was my first position in the wholesale channel. First priorities were to realign all sales territories and get inventory under control. We were able to due this by the end of my first year there (1987) .This was a great company and a good job but Mc Kesson decided to divest of all divisions engaged in alcohol sales.

  I was hired as Sales Manager at Atlanta Wholesale Wine when McKesson Wine and Spirits sold their operation in Georgia. This was the premier Bordeaux and Burgundy supplier in Georgia at the time. Our team was able to expand the company's reach into California and expanded Australian offerings.On premise and retail accounts were added and the sales force doubled while I was with AWW. I left to accept a position offered to me by Empire Distributors.
