      Responsible for raw and packaging material quality assurance and execution of quality improvement projects. Assist in landing new projects by performing raw material analysis, lab batches and running of trails in the plant.My daily duties are but not limited to:-Interface with research and development, procurement, Marketing and operational teams to deliver innovation project timeously.-Drive continuous improvement by implementing the material inbound inspection plan and good material handling to assure compliance with processes, specification and GMP.-Drive quality culture by initiating factory quality day and coordinating the trade on shelf CRQS visits to improve customer relation.-Managing lab testing budget by atomizing lab testing methods from manual titration which reduced the amount of solvents used and increase the lab analysis turnaround time.-Leading plant trials ensure compliance with Unilever specification requirements.-Manage and motivate a team of three QI / QC who are mainly responsible for sampling and testing material on receipt and conduct online CRQS hourly checksProduct Quality Improvement and Cost Saving Initiative:-Leading, developing and improving the current HDPE bottle specification for Domestos and Handy Andy high speed line in terms of profile (material distribution). This has improved the line bottle runnability which increased the factory PVA and line OEE’s by 20%.-Drive and lead the packaging innovation projects and applying consumer insight & environmentally friendly packaging solution - Project green for 100% recycle PET bottles.-Improving the use of Acusol (raw material) in processing area by introducing agitation staging which increased the first-time right batches manufactured-Successfully initiated root cause analysis to prevent the expired perfumes waste cost of R1.9 million. High MOQ’s and GMP non-compliances were identified as the main contributing factors. Show less
