      The 3rd Khelo India Youth Games was held from 10 January 2020 and 22 January 2020 in Guwahati, Assam, India.[1] [2] The event witnessed 20 national level multidisciplinary grassroots games to get played among the age groups of under-17 and under-21 categories. The event is held in 20 disciplines with the participation of 37 states and Union Territories.

      The Indian Olympic Games were named as National Games beginning in 1940. This competition sets athletes from several Indian states with one another in a variety of sporting disciplines. The National Games were held in Lucknow during its initial post-independence phase.The Indian Olympic Association is personally responsible for determining the National Games' duration and rules. Even though the National Games are held every two years, they cannot be held during the years that the Olympic and Asian Games are scheduled to take place.In its 36th edition, Gujarat will host the National Games for the first time in 2022.
