  The National cookstoves steering committee's main objective is to track Malawi's progress towards reaching the 2 million stoves disseminated by 2020 Target. As such contracted under Energizing Development who first set up the monitoring tool, this role's primary objective was to track the progress by regular site visits to producers and retailers across Malawi and feedback is shared with all stakeholders.In addition, as a support mechanism to National Cookstoves Steering Committee, the role entailed advising the stakeholders on the effectiveness of the marketing and behaviour change communication campaigns in Malawi and supporting mainstreaming of the improved cookstoves within various sectors to accelerate the efforts to reach the national target. this included organisation and facilitation of Cleaner cooking camp and annual event that brought stakeholders together to share best practices.Finally also working as a liaison between government of Malawi particularly department of Energy and Giz Energizing Development. n other donors Show less
