  Sr Reactor Operator, BMRC PULSTAR reactor

  As a student, I licensed on the 2MWth PULSTAR reactor at the Buffalo Materials Research Center, first as an RO, later as an Senior Reactor Operator. Duties included reactor operations including startup, shutdown, and routine operation. Additionally we did sample preparation and Neutron Activation Analysis, as well as producing medical isotopes.

  Shift Technical Advisor, Design and System Engineer at GPU Nuclear, Three Mile Island. GPU sold TMI to AmerGen (later Exelon Nuclear) in 2000.

  Following the sale of Three Mile Island, I worked for AmerGen and then Exelon in a variety of roles, including System Engineer, Design Engineer and Ops Engineer. For the last 10 years before the plant shutdown, I was the Replica Plant Simulator supervisor in Ops Training.
