  The Global Tools team are responsible for the administration, maintenance and ongoing harmonisation of the numerous software development tools in use at all Elekta development centres across the world. These include:- Atlassian JIRA- CA Agile Central (Rally)- HP ALM- IBM Rational DOORS- Sparx Enterprise Architect- Blueprint Enterprise- Go2Group ConnectAllIn addition to leading this global team, I am also the acting manager for the Crawley Throughput Optimisation Group, also known as the Agile Office. This team consists of the Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches who are leading the adoption of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Show less As the Team Leader of the Tools and Support Team I am responsible for managing a team that has varied between 6 and 10 people. This is a multi-discipline team of engineers with backgrounds including, but not limited to:- Requirements Engineering- Configuration Management- Systems Engineering- Tools AdministrationThe Tools and Support Team sit within the Software Engineering department, within the larger Global Engineering (UK) group, and have responsibility for:- Defining and owning the Requirements Management process for all R&D projects in the UK.- The setup, roll-out and administration for many of the development tools used in R&D, including: - IBM Rational DOORS - Atlassian JIRA - Sparx Enterprise Architect - Apache SubversionIn addition to the tools listed above, I am also an administrator for the global instances of:- Blueprint- CA Agile Central (formally Rally)During my time in this role I have also been involved in various global and local process/tools improvement initiatives, including:- The introduction and rollout of Blueprint for managing cross-product user and business needs.- The Strategic Tools Alignment Group, who are aiming to optimise the toolset/processes across the whole of Elekta.- The Agile Change Team, who assist the product development teams adjust to Agile ways or working and try to remove im[pediments and blockers on those teams.I have also acted as the Product Owner for various Scrum/SAFe/Kanban teams and I am a Certified Scaled Agilist. Show less I started my career in Elekta as a Requirements Engineer on software development projects. I was responsible for working with the stakeholders and the engineers to eliciting the requirements for the products, from the top level user needs down to the component level specifications, and then managing these in the DOORS requirement database. I also travelled to our office in Beijing and set up a similar DOORS database and process for their use.I was then made the owner of the Requirements Management process for R&D in Crawley, responsible for defining and enforcing the process for all development projects on the site. This process and the resulting requirements sets were then used in many successful submissions for CE marking and 510(k) clearance on medical devices.I was also involved in the "Lean" transformation at the company, becoming a trained facilitator for the "Cell" workshops and helping to define new versions of our requirements and product creation processes. Later on I was also part of the R&D Transformation Programme, where I had responsibility for travelling to the different Elekta offices around the world and training groups in Concept Exploration tools and techniques.
