      First placement - Service Manager (Older Adult wards)

      The Harbour· Achievements include supporting the ADO for Patient Flow both with operational responsibilities and service improvement, completing a case study on length of stay. Creating efficiencies by developing a transport SOP and streamlining the booking system; and project managing the accreditation of the older adult wards by the Royal College of Psychiatry.· During my time at the Harbour I built strong relationships with Matrons and MDT. I learned how to work in a consistently challenging environment, partnership working and driving transformation to improve performance.· Operational responsibilities also included monitoring and reporting on budgets,estates and risks on each ward which regularly required intervention and oversight at all times.· Further achievements include leading on a disciplinary investigation and writing a detailed HR report; using evidence to complete a thematic sickness review; reviewing section 136 and A&E breaches for potential learning on a weekly basis, discussing findings with colleagues and presenting this back to a weekly Health Based Place of Safety meeting chaired by the COO with representatives from local government and social care; and establishing a local process for monitoring workforce which enabled focused workforce planning.
