      During her year as Miss Tennessee, Grace served as ambassador and spokesperson for multiple public health campaigns and charitable organizations. She was the official spokesperson for the Tennessee Department of Education's Safe and Drug Free Tennessee campaign, speaking and entertaining in up to five middle schools and high schools each day. Through her engagements as Miss Tennessee, she gained experience in modeling and commercial acting, as well as hosting, emceeing, and entertaining on-stage. Grace's Miss Tennessee efforts included founding her own nonprofit organization, Graceful Sounds,Inc., to provide hearing aids and audiology services to children in need. She appeared on the TLC network reality television series "Miss America: Reality Check;" and finished as a Top 15 Finalist and a Quality of Life Award Finalist in the Miss America Scholarship Pageant.       Dr. Sturdivant joined the faculty of the UMMC Audiology Division in 2012, specializing in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of adults with hearing loss. Dr. Sturdivant is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (F-AAA) and is on the VP-Audiology Committee for the Mississippi Speech Language Hearing Association. She is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association, through which she maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). She earned her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2011, prior to which, she received a Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders from the University of Mississippi. She practiced as Assistant Professor and Vice Chief of the Audiology Division at UMMC until May of 2017, when she transitioned to a PRN contract. Show less
