Mike Darrow was selected as the Deputy for Programs in Project Management in April 2015 and quickly helped to reenergize his team and provide calming, steady leadership to enable the District to fully execute the $500M program with almost an entirely new group of senior leaders in the District while also experiencing a significant manpower shortage in key functional areas. Mike facilitated a seamless district commander transition and during the outreach with all the stakeholders and public leaders, it was evident that Mike’s influence in the community and with the military installations was instrumental in the high esteem that the Norfolk District and the US Army Corps of Engineers has as a professional, responsive, and honest organization with the public interest always coming first. Mr. Darrow’s achievements, professionalism and dedication to public service reflect great credit upon himself, the Norfolk District, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, the Department of the Army, and to the Nation.
