      Laboratory Powder Analyst – Sep 2009 - Oct 2010One of the groups on the site works on the early stage formulating of New Chemical Entities (NCE’s), which involves taking the raw active ingredient and then blending with other products to allow it to be inhaled by a patient.My role was to work alongside one of the leading Aerosol Scientists Globally (Dr Philippe Rogueda) looking at inhaled formulations for the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) disease. Working in a laboratory environment carrying out careful analysis of category 3 and 4 products, looking at flowability, carrs index, particle size and shape, powder rheology, RSD’s, MMAD, particle distribution in artificial lungs.This data was then used to gauge the effectiveness for a patient when inhaling the medication, but also in producing scientific publications to enhance developments in CF within the community.Asset Management – Sep 2008 – Sep 2009Novartis runs approx. 15 clinical trials per year, which cost in the region of $100M each. These trials require each clinical trials site to be provided with the appropriate medication, but also in many cases a computer which captures the individual’s private and confidential information, their dosing regimen, and their compliance to the medication.My function was working in the Asset Management group providing specialized computer systems and bespoke software for the individuals on the clinical trials and the clinical trials advisors.       OSspray Ltd is a provider of dental abrasion powders for the cleaning, de-sensitising and re mineralization of teeth. The company is a spin-out from Queen Mary University London and is funded by a number of Venture Capital partners. The powder that is used has a number of positive qualities; however one major drawback is the increased abrasiveness when used with the delivery systems.One of the products that OSspray have is a single-use powder blister which is used in conjunction with a handpiece that it is inserted into.My role was to produce a finalised set of production drawings to enable a new design to be manufactured in high volume and then launched into the European and Asian markets in March 2012. I also work with the workshop and manufacture to create new products that are constantly added to the companies unique parts catalogue.I also work to improve the creation and rendering of CAD images on the international website as well as providing simulation tests and demonstrations of the products to work as a POS and accurate resemblance of how parts work. While specialising in both custom and semi-custom yacht design, both exterior and interior, EKM has also branched out into other areas of luxury design. These include residential projects, private coach interiors and several other special creative endeavours. My position at EKM encompasses all aspects of the Yachts interior and exterior. Working closely to the Director and the shipyard to create some of the most luxurious products in the world. Using specifications provided by the Naval architect to producing the DFM models that are provided to the shipyard for GRP moulds. In total I self-managed & designed 4 super yachts for the latest Ocean Alexander Revolution Range making 2 front covers with my design of the 28r and 45ft Sport. Key skills used in the task are; .
