      Based in a small Ugandan village, 10 kilometers outside of Kamuli town. Worked on youth empowerment and mobilization, health education, initiation of income-generating projects, creation and management/coaching of youth soccer teams, grant-writing, organizational design, and partnering with established NGOs as an outside counsel and aid.- Delivered health, nutrition and hygiene workshops in 31 schools, reaching over 2675 children and youth - Organized and led four community health “Positive Living” discussions with 78 adults - Facilitated four interschool health debates wherein 115 youth received free HIV Voluntary Counseling and Testing- Trained 70 teachers from 35 schools on children’s rights and advocacy as part of Gender-Based Violence Program - Created, managed and coached two soccer teams; one comprised of at-risk youth between ages 17 and 32, and the other an under-14 group of orphans and vulnerable children- Coordinated community “Games Tournament” with 323 participants competing and 75 voluntarily testing for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections - Supervised and counseled a village youth group of 29 members, resulting in implementation of two income-generating activities Show less
