Worked within a well-known architectural company in the City of London. I have predominantly been the office’s Global IT interface managing the support of about 230 users in 8 different international offices. Being Network Manager of our Network has included both 2nd/ 3rd Line support and also taking the company forward with introductions of new technologies into the business. The support of the global network generally involves Active Directory/ Windows 2012/ 2008 on the server side and Windows 7, XP, 2000, NT and other operating systems on the client end. As well as also being a Hardware engineer, ideas I have introduced into the practice include Video Conferencing globally and implementing a Electronic Document Management System throughtout the practice. International Systems Manager

Currently managing the international side of this exciting global Architecture and Interior Design specialist.2016 and 2017 were about introducing innovative and intuitive ideas into our satellite offices to make communications and collaboration easier.Expansion in the Middle East, predominantly Dubai and Abu Dhabi was a large focus of 2018 and 2019 including new offices, updated network Infrastructure, collaboration tools, WAN optimisation of Autodesk applications were all examples of technology introduced in those periods.2020 was a big year for us as we took upon the task of upgrading our server and storage Infrastructure for our whole network. We implemented HP storage switches on an HP Nimble with a VMware server farm. We also migrated our email services to Office 365 and integrated a thorough backup and business continuity plan with our support partner. This was a massive project and places the business in a strong position for the years ahead.2021 has been about how best to serve our staff and clients externally through remote support. The Covid pandemic has caused a massive IT shift in the way office workflows are done with the physical side only now starting to return to a hybrid type environment.2022 and beyond are currently very focused on remote working and how to improve staff productivity and their ability to collaborate with others both domestically and internationally. Our strategy to Unified Communications will also be changing this year as we realise the desk phone and sitting in an office for 5 days a week are things of the past. Show less
