  The Quality of Life in Slums Project is an interdisciplinary research project led by two Professors from UChicago Law School - Anup Malani and Adam Chilton; that aims to understand migration, regulation, governance, and housing in slums across India. Distinct project components examine economic and legal dynamics in slums as well as drone imaging deploying methods of qualitative and quantitative survey analysis. The main objective of the study is to improve the understanding of policy impact of slum notification and rehabilitation on all stakeholders, including government, landowners, squatters, and renters. The results for 2018-19 would be published in the form of a book capturing stories across a spectrum of slum sites with varying degrees of socio-economic and political aspects.
