      As process project engineer, I am involved in the following tasks:•Develop a project scope that identifies and tests a possible solution to a client's metallurgical problem.• Concurrently run and manage projects and their associated costs by applying project management principles to ensure deadlines are met within the budgeted time and cost.• Set deliverables and objectives (for technicians, operators and junior staff) and actively control the achievement thereof e.g. quality control, time keeping.• Interact with other groups and business units involved in the project independently, and communicate issues/concerns to management.• Liaising with clients on the best-fit solutions to ensure their mineral processing challenges are addressed by providing analytical input.• Compile comprehensive data sets (construct logical spreadsheets) from raw data e.g laboratory and pilot plant test-work, including error checking and data validation calculations.• Commissioning of new equipment.• Conducting SHEQ evaluations and briefings on the potential hazards associated with the work to be undertaken by sample preparation staff and scientists/engineers involved prior to sample handling and analysis.• Ensuring that QES procedures are followed so that project work is executed to produce valid conclusions and with maximum overall efficiency.
