  As a design engineer for Atlas Copco, JC Carter Pumps division, I was responsible for the machine design of multi-Megawatt sized cryogenic centrifugal pumps as well as the suction vessels, lifting systems and all associated electrical components and tooling. I created pump performance curves and was introduced to CFD and rotordynamics.

  As the main technical point of contact for the customers of my projects, I handled all engineering documentation and approved pump drawings, systems drawings, and related engineering calculations from design engineers. I was also heavily involved in performance testing, CFD analysis, as well as rotordynamics. As a design engineer for Nikkiso Cryo, I was responsible for the mechanical and hydraulic design of multi-Megawatt cryogenic centrifugal pumps. I took on the additional job responsibilities of becoming the lead rotordynamics engineer as well as learning CFD to help with hydraulic design and troubleshooting.

Using my engineering knowledge and background, I worked closely with consulting specifying engineers and contracting communities to assist with product application and design. I was responsible for specification development and product promotion with assigned accounts from the consulting specifying engineer community. I generated complete proposals and submittals, including product selections with performance, and layout details including pricing and scheduling. Our team also provides customer and rep consulting and troubleshooting while also managing internal product improvements. I participate in the standards committees relevant to the Datacom industry which gives DataAire the opportunity to have a hand in the industry regulation developments and keeps us informed on any updates.
