  The objective of the master's degree project was to develop a mathematical model for the spatial forest planning of the scheduling of harvest activities using the CPLEX software to apply the “Branch and Bound” method for linear programming problems with integer variables. Harvest blocks were formed by grouping plots to reduce the movement of harvesting machinery and forest transport and reduce the costs of building and maintaining roads.

  I worked as a researcher in the department of remote sensing and forest information technologies.I was responsible for the implementation of the equipment TLS (Terrestrial Laser Scanning) with LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) technology as a new tool for data collection in forest stands. I have completed the training to use the software to register the LIDAR point cloud collected in the field to obtain more accurate information from the forest.Furthermore, I had training by DJI for the use of drones in data collection for forest monitoring.In the European project My Sustainable Forest I collaborated with the validation of products, I collected biometric data in the field for the traditional forest inventory of eucalyptus stands.
