  Over the summer of 2013, I worked for ParkCloud, a company that manages car-parking reservations for independent car parks around the world. I talked with Spanish-speaking, French-speaking and English-speaking customers on a daily basis by phone and via email. I formed part of an international team, made up of staff from all parts of the world – Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Estonia, Lithuania, Germany, Russia, Brazil etc.With ParkCloud, I gained vital experience working as part of a multinational team as well as communicating in other languages as an integral part of my daily work.   As a Comenius English Language Assistant for The British Council, I spent approximately 5 months working at College Don Bosco WSL. In this capacity, I assisted English teaching staff in the delivery of lessons and the preparation of educational resources. I established daily lunch-time conversation clubs for each of the five year groups I worked with as an additional aid to students who sought extracurricular help and guidance.

  As an English Language Assistant, my role was to give classes and lectures to university students (from 17+) learning English as a second language (ESL). Despite my title being that of "Assistant" I was in fact responsible for leading classes on a whole host of topics, from grammar and cultural aspects, to oral and writing workshops. With class sizes ranging from 10 - 25, class management and excellent communication are vital skills; equally important is dynamism in the learning environment. My vibrant and dynamic approach to language learning meant that the learning experience was rewarding, fruitful and enjoyable for all involved.The position held at La Universidad Libre showed me that I have the necessary skills to teach at a high level, achieving consistently high results and maintaining excellent working relationships with fellow staff and students.
