PSGCNJ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, career development and networking organization of volunteers that helps all job seekers in transition land their next job. PSGCNJ's mission is to provide job seekers with encouragement, empowerment, education and inspiration to advance their careers. PSGCNJ provides job search strategies, interviewing skills, networking opportunities and transition management skills that are needed by unemployed and underemployed job seekers, including long term unemployed job seekers. Through its unique, free, educational and workforce development programs, PSGCNJ provides all job seekers:- opportunities to utilize their existing transferable skills, - an environment to learn and acquire new transferable skills sets, - exposure to current job search knowledge and interview strategies and- resources necessary to conduct and accelerate their job search and land their next job.Since its inception in June 2008 through December 2014, PSGCNJ has helped more than 1,200 job seekers return to work. As Executive Director, I provide leadership to ensure that all six divisions (committees) fulfill their respective goals and objectives and operate in accordance with applicable regulation. In addition, I collaborate on the development of long-term goals to broaden awareness, expand the scope of the organization, increase membership, establish and nurture strong relationships with employers in Central New Jersey and surrounding areas and advocate for financial support of our programs.
