      Mental Health Counselor

      As a mental health counselor grounded in clinical (hospital) social work, I provide counselling and psychotherapy to adult and adolescent clients dealing with a variety of life challenges. I provide both online and in-personal counseling. I focus especially on supporting people experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, workplace issues, addiction and physical illness or disability.I have a particular interest in the impact of physical health issues on emotional and mental wellbeing. I have worked extensively with individuals and families adjusting to chronic or life-limiting illness, especially in cancer care, palliative care, Addiction Medicine, gastroenterology and neurology.My counseling practice is shaped primarily by Relational Gestalt Therapy, psychodynamic psychology and family systems approaches, but also draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). 部分表示
