Through various initiatives, we aim to enhance knowledge and understanding of climate change, its impacts, and potential solutions. We also emphasize building the capacity of individuals and communities to address climate-related challenges effectively. • Collaboration, Cooperation, and Networking: We recognize that addressing the climate crisis requires collective action and collaboration. YOUNGO, actively promotes cooperation and networking among young people and relevant stakeholders across different sectors, regions, and backgrounds. By working together, we can amplify our impact, share expertise, and pool resources to drive positive change. • Policy, Lobbying, and Advocacy: YOUNGO engages in policy discussions and advocacy efforts to influence climate-related policies and decisions at various levels. We participate in international climate negotiations, such as those conducted under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Our goal is to ensure that the voices and concerns of young people are heard and considered in shaping effective climate policies. • Youth Action: We strongly believe in the power of young people to drive meaningful change.       As the team leader, I took charge of mobilizing and organizing a remarkable group of over 60 talented and passionate youths from various regions across Nigeria. Our common goal was to conduct a highly impactful virtual advocacy campaign focused on the pressing issue of Energy Transition.To ensure the success of this endeavor, I assumed the responsibility of coordinating the comprehensive development of content for the virtual campaign. This involved collaborating closely with the team members, utilizing their diverse skills and expertise, and harnessing their collective creativity to create engaging and informative materials that effectively communicated the urgency and significance of energy transition.Additionally, I recognized the importance of educating and sensitizing our campaign volunteers about the critical need for energy transition. I actively engaged with them, providing valuable insights, information, and resources to enhance their understanding of the subject matter. Through interactive discussions, presentations, and informative sessions, I fostered a strong sense of awareness and commitment among the volunteers, empowering them to become effective advocates for energy transition within their respective communities.By mobilizing these dedicated young individuals and coordinating their efforts, we made substantial progress in raising awareness about energy transition and its relevance in Nigeria. Our virtual advocacy campaign served as a platform to reach a wide audience, generating significant momentum and fostering discussions on sustainable energy practices. Together, we inspired countless individuals to recognize the importance of transitioning to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources, thus contributing to a brighter, greener future for our nation. Through careful observation and evaluation, I had the privilege of witnessing their remarkable performances and their dedication to addressing climate change.In addition to assessing the competition, I also took charge of coordinating the mobility and movement of the participants throughout the program. Ensuring orderliness and decency was paramount to fostering an environment that encouraged learning and collaboration. By diligently managing logistics, I contributed to the seamless flow of activities and ensured that everyone had equal opportunities to engage and participate.Recognizing the efforts of the participants, I eagerly lent a hand in packaging incentives specially designed to motivate and inspire their commitment to environmental causes.       As a fellow of the African Climate Stories Fellowship, I had the privilege of undergoing rigorous training in storytelling for climate change awareness. I was mentored and coached by seasoned experts in the field. Towards the end of the program, I led a team of two for an innovative project using infographics to convey an action-driven climate data story. We conducted secondary research, presented our findings on an infogram, and reached over 80 audiences. Our project was recognized as the most productive during the fellowship, earning my team and me an award. Show less
