      Development and validation of a structural numerical method to investigate the fatigue properties of a new generation nitinol TAVI device. I acquired skills in FE modeling, CAD design, experimental material characterization, shape memory alloys, crimping of transcatether devices, fatigue in-vitro analysis and numerical simulation. I had the opportunity to experience the approach to research and development of two well known European laboratories and to face budget problems, technical difficulties and long laboratory hours, but it ended up with a successful master thesis and a publication in Annals of Biomedical Engineering.
