  Expression & Freedom is a speech and drama academy that fosters creativity in children through story-telling, creative writing, poetry, drama, speech and elocution. My role as a teaching assistant was to plan and implement the curriculum for weekly sessions with two batches of students in the age group 7-9 and 10-14, along with and under the guidance of the primary teacher. This included constantly thinking of new activities to engage the students in, collecting or in some cases, even creating material for use in the sessions. My responsibilities also included ideating, creating, managing, and co-directing an annual showcase, in the form of a full-length drama or poetry presentations enacted by the students, as a culmination of the course.
