  Apave (www.Apave.com) is a global Engineering company, established in France 150 years ago. In 2005, I was selected as the third employee of the Mauritius office, and built a team of 15 lines of business reporting to me, with a total headcount of about 55 local employees, and about 120 expatriates. I was rapidly promoted from Project Engineer to COO. The lines of business I was in charge of were: Electrical Inspections, Mechanical Inspections, Lifting and Safety Audits, Construction Inspections, Training, Expat Management, Legal & Administration, Marketing and Communication, IT, Finance and Accounting, HR & Recruitment, Quality, Internal Safety, Translation Centre and Technical Maintenance.I also served on several Board Committees (Audit & Risks, Corporate Governance, Nomination and Remuneration Committees), and built new business partnerships outside the company.I successfully coordinated the ISO 9001:2008 certification of the company, and was qualified as ISO auditor.I developed a curriculum of Management and Softskills training courses for the Training Centre, and delivered these to clients.
