Also oversaw ongoing planning services for 20+ communities. Led a small transportation planning studio that specialized in corridor plans, access management, non-motorized transportation, transit studies and parking management.

  Leader of the Detroit office and the Transportation Planning Studio at MKSK, a community planning, landscape architecture and urban design firm with other offices in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and South Carolina. Currently have projects for over 20 cities and agencies throughout Michigan's lower peninsula including downtown plans and parks/plazas, site and brownfield redevelopment strategies, corridor plans, street and streetscape design, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, transit and TOD studies, access management, city-wide transportation plans, street/ROW design manuals, downtown and campus parking studies, and form-based codes. Also work with some of the leading developers in Southeast Michigan on major PUD-type projects. Current projects include a Thoroughfare Plan for Rochester Hills, analysis of converting one-way street to two-way in downtown Kalamazoo and Lansing; redesign of Michigan Ave from Downtown to Corktown in Detroit, downtown street and streetscape project in Birmingham MI, a Mobility Oriented Development Study for Woodward Ave in metro Detroit, redevelopment of the former La-Z-Boy HQ in Monroe MI, and TOD Studies in Memphis TN and Columbus Ohio.A frequent trainer or instructor on a variety of planning, zoning, Complete Streets, Access Management, TOD and other topics for various organizations. also involved with best practice publications including Co-Chair of the current update of the ITE Multi-Modal Transportation Impact Assessment Recommended Practice, and ITE publications on planning urban networks, the Trip Generation Handbook, and community preparedness for emerging transportation technologies.
