      Field staff/camp counselor

As a field staff member I would set up the lacrosse fields before the start of the game schedule. In addition to the pre-game set ups I worked as a coach to teams missing a parent coach or as an assistant coach. In that scenario I was also a liaison between coaches and the referees. If I wasn't coaching I would be operating the time clock or recording statistics. As a camp counselor, myself and a three to five other girls ran camp sessions based on a skeleton-type agenda which allowed us to incorporate our own drills to help beginner and advanced lacrosse players improve their skills. Student-athlete

Captain of the 2017 UMW Women's lacrosse team, CAC-All Academic Honor Roll, and named to the Second All-CAC team. As a Division III student-athlete, I dedicated my time at UMW to my team throughout the academic year. In the fall, our nontraditional season is 16 weeks long and followed by intense captain-led practices and training. During our traditional spring season, we begin before the first day of classes and as a nationally ranked team, usually continue beyond the last day of classes. In-season, practices are scheduled from three and a half hours Monday through Saturday combined with two to three games weekly. Fortunately, I had the amazing experience of helping my team reach new heights as we made it to the Sweet-16 round of the NCAA tournament as well as break a long-standing school record for goals against. I look forward to my senior season and hope to make it further in the NCAA tournament as well as potentially win our highly competitive conference championship. Show less

I am currently an unpaid research student working on the onset of fibrosis after inducing stress to correlate this symptom with the autoimmune disorder, Systemic Sclerosis, also called Scleroderma. The goal is to determine how various proteins are influenced by different stressors that could also indicate what triggers this uncommon disorder.
