      Executive Director

As a member of the board of directors for Contact Careline, a crisis hotline and member of the 1-800-SUICIDE network, I was recruited to lead the organization through a challenging period of change. This led me to become the executive director, where I was charged with keeping the phone lines open through fundraising, maintaining donor relationships, and writing grants. I also oversaw day-to-day accounting and fiscal oversight, produced the organization's newsletter, and recruited and trained both paid staff and volunteers. Through this experience, I gained invaluable knowledge and skills about managing a small nonprofit.I am forever grateful to the board for trusting me with this challenge, which culminated in a successful partnership and eventual merger with another Careline office. Associate Director

As someone who is passionate about advancing knowledge and treatment of diabetes, I had the privilege of working with the American Diabetes Association. My role involved planning and executing fundraising events, including the Diabetes Expo - where I was responsible for securing corporate and individual sponsors and exhibitors. I also implemented marketing plans and analyzed results for actionable insights. One of the most rewarding experiences was volunteering at a summer camp for kids with diabetes, where I learned so much from these courageous and resilient children about managing chronic illness. It was an honor to be a part of such a powerful force for change in the world of diabetes. Show less
