  During my time at Shadow, I was exposed to the everyday procedures of a rigging and warehousing company that is responsible for delivering and hoisting electrical and HVAC equipment to buildings in the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut tristate region. Through this internship, I was able to acquire first-hand knowledge of the roles that are played by a variety of parties in each delivery and installation. Primary Duties/Responsibilities:- Analysis and utilization of mechanical and engineering drawings to determine necessary job-site equipment and implementing these findings into the total cost- Consolidating each individual expense, including labor, crane rental, and permitting, in order to generate a tentative cost proposal which would then be negotiated with the contractor- General warehousing procedures, including the labeling and sorting of equipment, and assisting in loading units for transport Show less
