      Activities and Societies: HEADBOY SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM At sixth form I represented the school in various sports and also in the role of headboy. The postion was elected from the entire school and sixth form. To be elected I had to give a speech to the entire school explaining my desire for the role and explaining my worthiness as a candidate. In this role I attended various meetings about running the school and visited other schools on behalf of our sixth form.       Activities and Societies: Football Team, History Quiz Team I enjoyed my time at University and my course. History enabled me to gain new skills and meet new people with a greater sense of freedom than previous education. My degree was based around analysis of various primary and secondary sources whilst acquiring vast historical knowledge to create a strong, varied and cohesive arguement. There was various work involved culminating in a 10,000 word dissertation which was my strongest piece of work. I worked hard and enjoyed making various presentations… Show more I enjoyed my time at University and my course. I also undertook various historical trips to such sites as Auschwitz that helped gain an appreciation only first hand experience can provide.       I worked in position for six years through college and uni. This job was key in learning to balance my time between work and my studies whilst developing a strong work ethic. This job was important in building character, learning about retail and introducing me properly into the working world. It helped me gain skills in customer service and shows real work experience and commitment alongside my studies.

      I worked at Enterprise as a Graduate Management Trainee immediately after university. The management trainee program is a structured graduate scheme that enabled me to learn the skills of running a business on the job. I worked at different branches and this is a reflection of the progress I had made on the scheme and the willingness I have to help and learn in different environments with their own respective challenges. This was a role in a fast paced and challenging sales and service environment.In this position I learned several new skills from sales and marketing, to liaising with business accounts that I set up. It required me to get to grips with new technologies as well as the ethical values of the company. Whilst initially my sales were a weak point I have developed myself in this area and my figures are now constantly well above corporate average winning several internal competitions.       Being a salesman for vw is demanding position in the motor trade. The brand expects a lot as it seeks to progress and modernise whilst rebuilding trust with its customer base.
