      Production Manager

      My production career included time in Nestle frozen food factories in both Melbourne and Sydney. During my time in Melbourne I was responsible for the production start-up of Lean Cuisine an innovative calorie controlled frozen meal range. A highlight was being chosen in my first year at the factory to spend 6 months in a NUSA factory training on all production related processes and then returning to commission 2 new production lines.During my time in the Sydney factory the decision was taken to close the plant and relocate it into the Melbourne facility. I was then involved in the transfer and recommissioning of the production lines. Show less

      CDS was a Melbourne based distributor of fresh, chilled and frozen foods targeted primarily into the higher end hospitality channels. Following acquisition by Nestle Professional I managed the business with full P & L responsibility. The business was expanded quickly to Sydney and Brisbane during which time I was heavily involved in selecting suitable premises, negotiating leases, fitting out with freezers, chillers, delivery trucks and offices. The business employed approx 50 people with 10 salespeople and State Managers in Brisbane and Melbourne. In 3 years the business grew from approx $ 15 mio to $40 mio winning many contracts with large contract caterers, hotel groups and QSR chains. During June 2022 and 2023 I worked as a general hand undertaking a diverse range of duties including housekeeping, rubbish removal, amenities cleaning, cooking, mowing, stock handling and general labouring on the cattle property. Last 2 years now and becoming an annual get away.
