  Kaia Winds was founded in 2010 by a group of professional musicians in the Chicagoarea who were looking for the exceptional collaborative experience that only chambermusic can provide. Dedicated performers and teachers, the members maintain activeteaching studios at several high schools and universities as well as extensive performanceschedules with orchestras throughout greater Chicago-land and Northwest Indiana.Kaia Winds exist to make sure you never hear another boring chamber musicperformance. Made up of five orchestral wind instruments (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoonand horn), this ensemble performs a variety of genres including traditional Classical,Latin, Jazz, Broadway, Popular and even animal inspired tunes! Kaia Winds is committedto removing the traditional boundaries that exist between performer and audience. Theycan be heard performing everywhere from recital halls to Chicago public schools to pianobars. By performing in both traditional and non-traditional venues, Kaia Winds works towelcome new fans to the world of wind quintet repertoire and is committed to performingmusic that is essential to each of us and our time.
