Approving all materials used and contractors’ submittals with respect to the consultant specifications. Approving construction site drawings with respect to design and tendering ones. • Supervising the implementation of 15 different underground piping networks with total distance of 508 KM including a natural gas pipeline of total distance 47 KM & 7 different piping materials. (carbon steel, ductile iron, concrete pipes, HDPE, HDPP, CPVC & UPVC)• Supervising the pre-commissioning tests and inspections required including x-ray, gamma-ray and NDT tests for field joints samples, hydro pressure tests for pressurized pipe networks, hydro gravity tests for gravity pipe networks, film thickness tests and measurements for primary coating, epoxy coating and raping required for the underground steel pipes.• Supervising the implementation of the cleaning processes required before commissioning including pigging process and flushing process for the pressurized networks as well as, the implementation of the Cathodic protection required for the underground steel pipes against the salinity of the soil.• Supervising the implementation of the internal firefighting networks and the internal plumbing networks of multiple buildings.       Achievements: Here is a summary of sub-sea activities participated in: Crossing design and rectification, Pipeline laying, Flooding gauging / hydro testing of pipelines, Tie-in spools route design, Installation of non metrology spools along with its leak test, Sub-sea structures installation, Jumpers, EFL and HFL installation, Hot tapping, Pipeline integrity checks and Installation of mechanical connectors, leak clamps and smart plugs.Responsibilities as Subsea Construction Engineer:• Supervising the mobilization / demobilization of vessels to ensure that all equipment is handled in the correct manner with good rigging and sea fastening.• Issuing task plans, permits to work, isolation certificates and task risk assessments ensuring that all relevant safety and quality issues are included with a view to improve the completion date, if possible during implementation. • Assist with the management of all project specific third-party contractors confirming all technical and operational aspects of the contract are observed. Interface Coordination between contractor pipelines and existing third party pipelines. • Note any contractual variations during project ensuring all necessary documentation is in place to support commercial claims disputed upon completion of project. • Run out briefing meetings & toolbox talks covering the task plans and safety procedures to all concerned parties in the construction activities to ensure that all the details included are fully understood & will be properly applied and that all the required preparations are in place.
