      Silver Medal in Brazilian Physics Olympiad Brazilian Physics Society Dec 2015 The competition is organized by the Brazilian Physics Society (Sociedade Brasileira de Física – SBF, in Portuguese) and receives financial support of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. The contestants are students of general or technical secondary schools, i.e. schools which cannot be considered technical colleges. The Brazilian Physics Olympiad is composed by three eliminatory examinations: in the first examination the number of students (contestants) is about 500000; for… Show more The competition is organized by the Brazilian Physics Society (Sociedade Brasileira de Física – SBF, in Portuguese) and receives financial support of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. The contestants are students of general or technical secondary schools, i.e. schools which cannot be considered technical colleges. The Brazilian Physics Olympiad is composed by three eliminatory examinations: in the first examination the number of students (contestants) is about 500000; for the second examination the number of classified students is approximately 150000 and for the third examination about 3000 students. For these 3.000 students the organizers establish mínima (expressed in points) for Gold Medals, Silver Medals, Bronze Medals and Honorable Mentions. Each year, 20 students from each grade are awarded with Gold Medal, 40 students with Silver Medal and 60 students with Bronze Medal. Show less
