  I have been responsible for delivering sport specific instruction, namely fencing, to several diverse groups of people. Engaging in this role for almost a decade, I have coached in educational settings, local sports clubs, and summer camps, in which I have been responsible for designing and implementing specific programmes to ensure the continued development of my athletes. On behalf of Modern Pentathlon GB, I have also successful managed taster events to market and raise awareness of the sport as well as engaging the general public in a sport which is typically inaccessible. In addition, I assisted the Modern Pentathlon and British Wheelchair Fencing teams in the build up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Show less

  Duty Manager and Activity Host

  Exceptionally varied role at the Sports Centre, where I undertook multiple positions. My key responsibilities as Duty Manager included ensuring the centre was safe to operate, opening and closing the centre, dealing with customer requests and enquires over the phone and in person, and delegating operational tasks effectively between myself and my staff. Partaking as a Children's Activity Host, I provided opportunities for children to engage in sport and physical activity. As Team Leader I ensured my staff and I created a safe environment for the children to enjoy themselves, whether this was in the water, during woodland games, or inside. Show less

  My role consisted of full-time residential care for 6-8 year old boys as well as performing my daily duties as the area head for fencing. This role allowed me to have the opportunity to expand my interpersonal and communication skills as the camp attracted campers and staff from a several nations. Furthermore, collaborating with other area heads to assist with their sport instruction developed my understanding of multi-sport coaching.

  Each day on set can be extremely similar or completely different. This unpredictable element of participating as an Extra is extremely challenging, but also very enjoyable. Although you usually spend the majority of time acting in the background, I have on numerous occasions been selected as a "Featured Artist" to perform up close and personal with the main cast; most recently in season two of Netflix's The Crown.

  BUCS Modern Pentathlon Particpation Advisor

  Committee member, focusing specifically on improving university student engagement in Modern Pentathlon. By collecting and analysing participation and programme data, I have been able to determine the previous strategies have been ineffective. The frequent collaboration with the NGB and BUCS allowed me to develop a thorough understanding of strategic planning and stakeholder management.Part of my role is to assist with the organisation of Pentathlon events. For the annual BUCS Mod Pent Championships, I source a team of volunteers to officiate and manage the schedule to ensure the event runs to time whilst also acting as the Head Referee. Show less

  As a lifestyle advisor, my responsibility is to support student-athletes in the pursuit of both academic and athletic excellence; encouraging athletes to manage their own learning to give them the best opportunity to maximise their potential, develop their skills (athletic, academic, and social), improve their performance holistically, and become proactive with life choices. As the first point of contact for numerous athletes, I assist with any issues of concern they may have. In addition, my role requires me to advise student-athletes regarding four main topics: anti-doping, transitions, career planning, and support networks. Specifically, ensuring they are aware of anti-doping legislation and promoting clean sport, aid and provide coping strategies to manage the stressors and transitions expected and experienced whilst undertaking a dual career at university, encourage them to consider their vocational career pathways early in their university time, and work in an interdisciplinary manner with their support staff to further their holistic development.
