  I was fortunate enough to gain a place on a selective work experience programme set up by the company which gave me an in-depth look into broking and helped develop my interpersonal skills.• Worked closely with groups of people whom I had not met before, meaning I was able to develop social and communicational skills.• Worked alongside a peer to create and present a presentation on Energy insurance to a Unit Head and additional broker at the company where we were awarded a prize for our efforts.• Visited Lloyd’s of London with a broker which allowed me to develop my understanding of a broker’s role within the insurance industry.   This was a summer internship role rotating around various underwriting classes and services which helped me gain a more in-depth knowledge of how underwriting works within the insurance market.• Worked closely with underwriters both on the box in Lloyd’s and in the office and attended meetings and met new and potential as well as existing clients.• Created a ‘client information form’ which outlined a client’s current infrastructure against cyber-attacks during my extended time with Cyber.
