  As an Inhouse Animal Nutritionist, I was responsible for formulating vitamin and mineral animal premixes in accordance with established standards. I performed reformulations on customer and standard premixes using reworks and ingredient substitutions. I assisted the sales force by providing customer pricelists and technical support. I was in charge of ensuring that Act 36 of 1947 (Fertilizers, Farm Feeds, Agric Remedies and Stock Remedies Act) was followed and adhered to.

  In collaboration with the Gauteng Agriculture Department, I was involved in a poultry and swine-related research development project that aimed to uplift small and emerging farmers in the Gauteng province. This was accomplished through the provision of AgriSETA-accredited production farming trainings. I was also a member of a team that provided ARC technicians with ongoing refresher training.

  I was in charge of all matters pertaining to Act 36 of 1947. (Fertilizers, Farm Feeds, Agric Remedies and Stock Remedies Act). I served as a liaison between AFMA, DAFF, and the Animal Feed industry on matters pertaining to Feed Registrations, Renewals, and Amendments, among other things. I was involved in the revision of regulations, guidelines, and policies. I took part in Industry Technical Committee Meetings by providing feedback to industry participants.

  I conducted applied research with the goal of providing small scale and emerging farmers with all of the information they need to break into the formal market while also bridging the gap that exists in South Africa between commercial and communal farming. I offered technical assistance to existing and aspiring communal and emerging farmers in the Eastern Cape region who wanted to turn farming into a serious business adventure.

Prepared technical lab reports and communicated findings to account managers and customers.
