  I have been pursuing musical interests as a singer/songwriter for almost 10 years now. I have written and performed dozens of songs, released a demo album and 3 singles to date. (www.youtube.com/roryohearn)My proudest achievement so far is performing a charity showcase at North by Northeast (NXNE), Canada's largest music festival in benefit for Nelly's Women's shelter and Amnesty International. The event was hosted by Toronto Arts-based charity One Fire Movement. (onefiremovement.com)I have also organized, promoted, hosted and performed at many artist showcase concerts, which came to be know as the "International Music Night" series. These showcases featured myself and 2 other local acts in Toronto, with members including myself who all taught ESL at in international language school. We would put on performances and promote these events to our international student audiences, and we would also feature some of our international guests who had musical talents.
