I worked with Project Managers who liased with the clients directly with reference to their expectations whilst on the sites and then they gave me the details which I was able to create the configurations from to suit the clients needs.       My role involved monitoring and troubleshooting more than 2000 devices of Network Rail networking system by using specialist computer programmes ie Netflow, Cisco Works and Vital Suite. I acted as a 2nd / 3rd line responder/resolver for all network performance and fault related calls, which includes sub-contractors, 3rd parties and manufactures. As a 2nd or 3rd line responder/resolver, I needed to analyse and monitor both the Wide Area and Local Area Networks including planning designing, evaluating, troubleshooting and configuring communication media within a Cisco Networked router and switch environment.
