  • Experience

    • U.S. Air Force

      Jun 1984 - Apr 1988

I was responsible for the in-shop maintenance of the electronic warfare equipment installed on the TR-1 High Altitude Reconnaissance aircraft. These highly classified systems included threat warning transceivers and mission recorders. My duties included the training of all newly assigned personnel on the in-shop maintenance of the AN/ALQ-119(V), the most advanced radar jamming system in the department. I was fully responsible for all aspects of in-shop maintenance of this highly complex system and associated automated test equipment (ATE).

      • Electronic Warfare Systems Specialist Stationed at RAF Alconbury, UK

        Aug 1986 - Apr 1988
      • Electronic Warfare Systems Specialist Stationed at Taegu AB, Korea

        Jun 1984 - Aug 1986
    • Silicon Systems

      Aug 1988 - May 1992
      Equipment Engineering Technician

Performed corrective and preventive maintenance on a variety of highly sophisticated microprocessor-based equipment associated with the manufacturing of VLSI circuits. I have extensive experience in the repair and maintenance of plasma etchers, projection mask aligners, coater/track systems, and diffusion equipment.

    • U.C Berkeley

      Jan 1992 - Jan 1997
      Graduate student of Prof. Oldham
    • Lucent Laboratories

      May 1993 - Aug 1993
      Staff Consultant

Worked as a consultant to install an Aerial Image Monitor on the GCA- ALS Microlithography Stepper. This image monitor was used to directly evaluate aerial images from phase-shifting masks. This work was done in connection with my Ph.D. research.

    • Sandia National Labs

      Apr 1995 - Feb 1997
      Graduate Research Assistant

Performed research in the area of next generation lithography systems for the manufacturing of integrated circuits. This research focused in the development of an Aerial Image Monitor for the real-time characterization of Deep UV and EUV stepper performance without resist processing. This technology was successfully transferred to industry by installing aerial image monitors on commercial steppers at GCA and Lucent Labs. Thesis work involved the assembly and characterization of the EUV lithography system developed Show less
